When you decide to submit a grant application, please contact the Urology Editorial Offfice staff as soon as possible. They will initiate the necessary UCSD requests, determine the UCSD internal deadline for your application, and assist you in organizing and routing the application for internal approvals before submission.

If you plan to apply for a grant, please note that you will need to meet the UCSD internal deadlines for submitting your application.
The internal deadline depends on where the work will be performed (UCSD, Cancer Center, or VA) and whether the proposed project is small or large: major applications need more time. See "Getting Started" above for more information.

Get a Glimpse of an NIH Grant Peer Review Session
Researchers can now view an online video of a mock study section meeting offered by the NIH Office of Extramural Research.
NIH produced the video to demonstrate how grant applications are evaluated. The video shows real reviewers and NIH personnel discussing actual applications that had been disguised to protect privacy and proprietary information.
